Green Library closed Saturday, April 19th

Extensive electrical work is planned for Green Library on Saturday, April 19th, requiring building closure.  The library will be open again during regular hours on Sunday, April 20th.

President of Latvia Visits Green Library

The President of Latvia Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs and his delegation visited Green Library on September 18, 2024.

In a meeting with University Librarian and Vice Provost, Michael Keller; Assistant University Librarian for External Relations, Anh Ly; and Curator for Estonian and Baltic Studies, Liisi Esse, the President discussed Stanford-Latvia collaboration in the form of student and scholarly exchange and partnering with Latvian libraries, museums, and archives.

The President attended a luncheon with Sec. Condoleezza Rice and other Stanford faculty members, focusing on regional and global security, Latvia's foreign policy, and US-Latvia relations.

The President emphasized the importance of strong bilateral relations between Latvia and the U.S., and Stanford's role in supporting Latvian and Baltic studies.
